LINEAL 'V' GROOVING:

The lineal 'V' groove determines the design of the front and/or the back edge and dado of a table, bookshelf, cabinet, etc. Variations in this design are limited only by your imagination.

CROSS 'V' GROOVING:

Cross 'V' grooving can be accomplished with a single pass with multiple cutters or with multiple passes with a single cutter. Proper angle cutters must be used for precise mitering to avoid "corner gap" or stretching of "the hinge". Five complete grooves must be cut to make up a four corner box. The extreme left and right hand halves of each outside groove is removed in order to mate the joined corners.

ASSEMBLY:

The flexible vinyl or tape that was applied under the cut, acts as a hinge for the joint. Cold glue (PVA) is applied in all the internal joints. A bead of hot melt is applied to the connecting joint and it is then simply folded for assembly. Hold for 3 to 5 seconds and the hot melt sets and clamping devices are eliminated. The vinyl or the tape stops glue leakage. You get a continuity of the grain of the laminate all the way around the product.

Computerized Model:

The Universal 'V' Groover, is available in both a non-computerized, model AVG-48-UM-FT and a computerized model, AVG-48-CC and both models can be equipped with our without the "FT" Floating Table attachment.
