Solid Surface Fabricating with 'V' Grooving

'V' Grooving your solid surface to create your front edges replaces the traditional vertical stack or double stack method. The 'V' grooving method cuts a 90 degree 'V' from the top of your material when the material is put through the 'V' groover "good side" down. The underside of the cut is backed by a special tape that is applied automatically. The 'V' groover cuts through the material, but not through the tape. The tape then acts as a hinge and also as a barrier for seam compound, eliminating squeeze-out. The edge folds up to give you a precise 90 degree front edge. You don't need to cut all the small pieces and there is no loss of material from the kerfs and strips.

	Hands are not touching the material, so extensive alcohol washing is eliminated.

	The seam compound is applied only in the 'V' and the tape works as a barrier to prevent squeeze out on the outside.
	Remove the tape and the edge can be used as a router guide to finish the edge.

Change the cutter or use our two head LG-2-SS 'V' Groover and you can pass the material through "good side" up. The resulting cut folds up to make a cove backsplash.

Change the cutter and if you work with veneered solid surface products, with one pass you can create a beveled edge.
